Overview

This public university was established in 2010 following the merger of the universities of Kalmar and Växjö. It offers a small number of Bachelor courses in English including in creative subjects computing and applied mathematics. At Växjö there is a buddy programme for new international students. The green campus on the shores of Lake Växjösjön is linked to the city centre by a footpath. Växjö is a small modern city declared the ‘greenest’ in Europe. There are good road and rail connections to Copenhagen (247km to the Southwest) and flights to Stockholm (1 hour) which is 425km to the North.
