Overview

This course is suited to students who have been out of formal education for a number of years and who do not currently possess the qualifications required for embarking on a degree course at university level. The course will develop your academic skills in the area of Social Studies and prepare you to continue your studies at a higher level.

The BA (Hons) Social Studies 2+2 course is run in partnership with the University of Warwick. This is a four year course in which students study for two years at WCG (either Royal Leamington Spa College or Rugby College) and then a further two years at the University of Warwick.

The degree is divided into two stages - Level 4 and Honours Level. Level 4 consists of 120 credits and is studied over two years; Honours Level (years 3 and 4) consists of 240 credits and is studied over the final two years of the degree. On successful completion of the two years of study at WCG you will progress to the University of Warwick to continue your studies on the BA (Hons) Social Studies 2+2 degree or have the opportunity to transfer onto the BA (Hons) Health and Social Policy degree.

Throughout the four years of the course you will be enrolled as a student of the University of Warwick. Tuition fees for this course are set by and paid to the University of Warwick. Full details about fees for this course can be viewed on the University of Warwick website.
