Offered in partnership with Bolton Hospice, our BSc (Hons) Palliative and End of Life Care (Top-up) course is aimed at health and social care practitioners looking to gain the theoretical knowledge, clinical expertise, and skills in critical reflection needed to lead in the provision of excellent palliative care.
Our BSc (Hons) Palliative and End of Life Care (Top-up) course is designed to support you in your ambition to gain the knowledge, skills and personal attributes needed to lead in the provision of palliative care excellence for people with life limiting conditions and those close to them. If you’re a health and social care practitioner holding a Foundation Degree, Nursing Diploma or similar level qualification, this Honours-level top-up course will allow you to extend your studies to degree level.

We offer an expertly designed programme of study that focuses on helping you build upon your current knowledge and experience, to develop the knowledge, skills and reflective abilities needed to provide evidence-based high quality care and support to individuals with progressive disease and those at the end of their lives.
This programme is the product of a strong commitment and strategic partnership between the University of Bolton, Bolton Hospice and Bolton NHS Foundation Trust. By combining academic study with opportunities to learn in the clinical hospice environment, we aim to develop your skills through work-based modules and assignments, tailored around your vocational and professional needs.
