Overview

This course is designed to give students the knowledge, skills and experience they need to work within an early years or play work setting, or as a teaching assistant.
This course is designed for people who want to work with children and young people, preparing them for employment within early years and play work settings, or as a teaching assistant.
The course has been developed with input from professionals working within the sector to ensure that it is industry relevant.
Students who enrol on the course must already be in a paid or voluntary placement in a childcare-related setting.
In employment - minimum of 14 hrs per week
work placement - minimum of 200 hrs per year
All students undertaking this vocational degree need to have a DBS and to meet the requirements of the fitness to practice regulations.
This is also available as a part time programme.
