Overview

This course will interest you if you are currently working or volunteering in an early years setting. It will provide a strong foundation in the theories and background knowledge of early years. You will apply practical scenarios from your working life and use them to reflect on how you can improve the service you provide to children and families. The course will develop your leadership skills and broaden your practical and theoretical knowledge. At the start of the programme you will be allocated a personal tutor who will work with you throughout the programme. One of the first steps is to work with your tutor to develop your Individual Learning Plan. This is a process that starts at the interview stage and continues through the course to assist with the integration of the theory and the practical work-based elements of the programme.

At the start of the programme you will be allocated a personal tutor who will work with you throughout the programme. Throughout your studies you will integrate the theory and practice-based elements of this programme, with some of your assessment based on your practice in the workplace.
