Counselling and coaching play a significant role in supporting health and wellbeing. Our Counselling and Coaching BSc (Hons) course offers you the exciting opportunity to obtain an academic degree whilst aiming towards full British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) membership. On successful completion of this course you will be able to work as a registered counsellor.

This new and exciting career-based course will allow you to target jobs in an array of different settings such as GP surgeries, charities, universities, schools, colleges, private practice and many more.

This intensive course will boost your employability and allow you to work in various health and industry based settings.

The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) is an accredited organisation to support counsellors and to ensure high quality counselling practice, they also play a pivotal role in the Counselling and Coaching BSc (Hons) course to ensure the highest ethical and quality standards. This will be further supported by the Health Education Authority (HEA).

It will be your responsibility to secure a counselling placement. Whilst these placements are being established London Met will liaise with organisations to develop future possibilities with these healthcare providers. The BACP also offer voluntary counselling student placements and a great deal of trainee opportunities are available online.
